1. Vitamin E supplements act as an anti-oxidant and reduce the amount of pain-causing chemicals, or prostaglandins made in the uterus. This reduces pain and inflammation.
   
2. Supplements with Ca, Mg, Vit D3, and Zn strengthen the uterine muscles, preventing spasms and cramps.
   
3. Heat increases blood flow around the uterus, easing cramps.

• Short term: There are no known short-term side effects of Vitamin E supplements.
• Long term: If taken as per prescription, there are no known long-term effects.

If taken beyond the prescribed amount or for longer than necessary, Vitamin E can cause excess bleeding. Symptoms include bruising, nausea, fatigue, and headache.

2. Side effects of Calcium supplements:

• Short term: Calcium supplements can cause constipation, gas and bloating.
• Long term: If taken as per prescription, there are no known long-term effects.

If taken beyond the prescribed amount or for longer than necessary, Calcium can affect the kidneys. Symptoms include nausea and vomiting, appetite changes, weakness, fatigue, and bone pain.

3. Side effects of heat pad:

• Short term: Heat pads can cause redness or irritation due to the adhesive.
• Long term: No known long-term side effects if used as directed.
